After returning from crucifixion to save the queen from her evil witch/twin sister, CONAN is offered a position as a councilor as well as captain of the royal guard, but he refuses to continue his adventures plundering  as the chief or the Zuagirs.

But not all men seek rest and peace; some are born with the spirit of the storm in their blood, restless harbingers of violence and bloodshed, knowing no other path...
